My husband and I got married in Crete and we used the services of Gamos Crete, owned by Margreet Riemeijer. Planning our wedding in Chania, Crete was made incredibly simple by her. Margreet was on hand night and day to answer our questions and to share pictures and ideas for the big day.
First of all Margreet had many contacts with vendors and if something was out of our price range she would either negotiate or look elsewhere. Second of all, I researched wedding planners before I came across Gamos Crete. I always felt as though I was one and only bride Margreet was working with.
We felt confident in booking our wedding venue (Manousakis winery) based on her recommendations and were non disappointed.
We went to visit the venue a few months before the wedding and Margreet had organised for all of the vendors to be there (lighting, flowers, catering, photographer, DJ etc.) which meant we could decide on all of the key features and visualise how the wedding would be ahead of time which really put our mind at ease given that we were miles away back in the UK.
The feedback from the guests on the day has been amazing, everyone had the time of their lives. The venue had been decorated beautifully by Margreet and the team using decorations she had sourced based on our requirements. It was a true fairy tale.
There must also be a special mention for Henk Bekker, the Celebrant who carried out our wedding ceremony. The guests loved the personal touch of the stories he told and the relaxed atmosphere of the whole day.
Margreet stayed behind the scenes but always near in case of any questions or problems. She was busy coordinating music, food, photography etc. to ensure a seamless day.
If anyone is planning on getting married in Crete you will not go wrong with hiring Gamos Crete!
